Asus Transformer Cases www.netbooknews.com The ASUS Transformer is the top Android tablet in our books because of its ability to integrate a detachable keyboard docking station. This accessory adds instant productivity to a device that with out it, is highly proficient at content consumption over content creation. ASUS has officially released a case for the tablet if you aren't interested in carrying it around with its keyboard companion. The case is made out of a rubberized dark grey fabric which is less bulky then some of the other options. The case is lined with a soft scratch proof lining and reminds us a bit of the iPad 2's smart cover with out the magnets. The fastening method is old school with a piece of Velcro which keeps the front cover shut. ASUS has provided cut-outs for almost all the ports there's a slot in the flap for the power/sync cable, notches on both edges for the HDMI and headphones sockets, as well as the power/lock and volume keys. The speakers even have holes for a better audio experience and of course the 5MP camera has a cut out. The only things that aren't accessible are the micro SD card slot and the docking station port, but since the case isn't built to hold the keyboard then it doesn't really matter too much. We've got some pictures of the case for you in the gallery below and the hands on video after that if you still need to get your fix. Its currently available for .99 from Amazon here if you're keen.
