This is my new PS3 slim which has issue running on 1080p resolution on my LG-42LG53FR LCD TV. Flickering is the first problem and then around the 7-9 sec mark u can see the snow effect. Tested using Monster GameLink Cable for PS3: www.monstercable.com ****UPDATE: OK FINALLY manage to solve this on my LG LCD TV try this setting on the PS3: on the XMB, go to settings, then display settings select Deep Color Output (HDMI) and set it to off and lo and behold, no more snow effect or flickering!!!! *if ur ps3 does not have this settings, u need to update it to a later firmware
