**PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE COMMENTING** Demonstration of my setup for recording Xbox 360 footage (inc. Pal60). This is supposed to show how to get better quality videos as opposed to being an exhaustive 'how to' guide. I have tried to skim across the basics that you probably already know. Please watch other videos to learn the most basic points. After getting hoards of comments asking questions that have already been answered I have given up trying to answer them. This FAQ will very likely answer your question. If you really feel like your question has not been answered please PM me. FAQ; Q - Can I play in HD while recording in SD? A - No. The Xbox 360 can only output one display resolution at a time. If it had to render 2 different video streams at once, you would get a considerable drop in performance. It would be similar to a PC running a multi-monitor setup. The only way you are going to be recording using this capture card is with Standard Definition cables. Q - How do I use the Yadif (or 'Yad') deinterlacer? A - In the latest version of Virtualdub (1.9.1 or higher), go to; Video - Filters - Add - Deinterlace - Interpolate using Yadif Algorithm REMEMBER; the deinterlacing filter must stay at the top of this filter list, because deinterlacing must always be the first thing to process the video.
