Hdmi Vs Component - Which is the Best?

Most people would select Hdmi over component without a question. Hdmi has both digital audio and video and it is capable of 1080p resolutions on many source devices. Component has analog video with no audio and while it's capable of 1080p, most source devices currently do not preserve 1080p through component.
